A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
What the World Needs
The COVID-19 crisis provided the opportunity for nuclear leaders to challenge their thinking, and to be more agile and flexible in the way work is performed. It brought out the best in leadership thought, style and action, but it also demonstrated where the absence of certain leadership traits can alienate and demoralize the workforce and contribute to active disengagement. Recent social events have sparked a pivotal moment for leaders to reflect, and blaze a more meaningful path forward toward an inclusive environment; an environment that will transform how we attract, develop, and retain the talented women and men who work in our industry.
THE IMPERATIVE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY
During the COVID-19 pandemic images of cities around the world provided a powerful visual of the immediate impact of a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
Those images challenge the notion that a green, carbon-free sustainable world must be decades away, and highlight the importance of carbon-free energy solutions, including nuclear energy.
